Our Friars

The Discalced Carmelite Friars are a community of men – priests and religious brothers – serving the Church through a life of contemplative prayer.

About Us

In our ministry we strive to foster growth in the spiritual life, helping men and women grow in friendship with God and with neighbor, all under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel.

The Semi-Province of St. Thérèse consists of 15 Discalced Carmelite priests and religious brothers in two communities in Texas, 5 communities of Discalced Carmelite Nuns in five states, and the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS), who number over 800 members across 14 states.
